Ok. So I have a friend, and I don't mean to be mean, but I just thought I was better at school work than she was. I know, hate me. I kinda hate me too. Anyway, she's my best friend, and I usually get the higher score. I never rub it in or anything, but I just feel like that gives me a little boost of self esteem. So, today we had two tests, and I didn't get a "bad" score or anything. I got a 12/15 (B-), on one of them, and a 4/5 (B-) on the other. I rarely ever get B's, so that really hurt me already. Then, my friend gets her tests back and she asks me what I get. I tell her the truth, and then, she tells me she got perfect scores on both. She's not really bragging or anything, she's just happy for herself. I wanted to be happy... but at the same time I kinda wanted to cry. I dunno why, but that's just me. I ask a few people, and even they got higher scores than I did. I probably got the lowest score in the class. Even my teachers said it was easy. I don't really know what to say I guess, how do I deal when something like this happens? Anyone experienced this before, or something like this? Thank you!

Oh yeah, I've experienced it MANY times. Once, my class was playing a Kahoot (if you don't know what that is it's a school game that teachers host and we answer questions; the person who answered the most questions correctly wins the game) and I was so ready to (not) crush it! I knew I wouldn't get anything right. It was about states, then we started. First question I got it...wrong. Seconddd.......wrong. Then one "easy" question came along, and everyone was pretending like they didn't know it, basically mocking the people who didn't. I couldn't have been the only person who didn't know the answer, right? I answer board came and heres what happened. One person got it wrong everyone was saying stuff like, "OMG ARE YOU KIDDING ME AHAHA HOW DID THIS PERSON NOT GET IT HAHA!" and just being completely mean. Now, I have a question for you. Yes, you. Was it me who got it wrong orrrr was it someone else...? If you guessed that it was someone else you are.....wrong. It was me. I FELT SO EMBARRASSED. I tried covering my screen because I didn't want anyone knowing that I was the one. I just went along with everyone.
Now that's just one story, but there's lots more.
Also, I'm really sorry about your bff, she's just excited like you said. I'm really emotional and sensitive, and have experienced that crying feeling you had. She might be happy that she finally got a higher score than you! lol. Hopefully your fine now 👍

Thanks for the honesty, it’s refreshing! You’re human and it’s okay to be human. I encourage you to explore your reaction/ feelings towards your friend’s achievement, see what comes up. I’m sure you’re not alone...
I have had many stories with tests. It seems like you've made a very high standard for yourself and a lower one for your friend. This is okay. Maybe, for your next test or exam study more than you did for this test. Try being proud of her if you aren't already. Maybe even ask her to help you.
Another option is to take your mind off of it and do something else. You might want to do REALLY good on another subject. Have friendly competitions with her😄. Hope this helped! #blogviceofficial #advice
