Blogmas Day 1 ❄️🎄

I'm guessing you are wondering what Blogmas is. It's (kind of) a challenge that I am doing. I will post every day until Christmas. Sorry if you don't celebrate Christmas, I do, so that's when I'm stopping. I guess I'm starting today (12/7) even though it's a weird number to start on. (TBH I just wanted to post after seeing all of the posts that you guys have posted. I went away for the weekend and didn't bring my laptop.) Anyway, my first blog for Blogmas.

What I did over the weekend.

So, as I said before, I went away this weekend. I went to Pennsylvania for my older sister, Nyla's basketball tournament. It was freezing outside and we had to go out there so much. We stayed at a hotel. Actually, everyone on Nyla's team stayed in the same hotel which is pretty cool. We didn't see them though, we didn't leave the room at all except to go to Nyla's games. The room was pretty nice. Two beds + a pull-out couch bed. We only stayed there for one night. It's getting kind of boring to say it like this, so I'll just write as if it was happening right now.

We pack everything into the car and take off. It's only me, Nyla, Shaddai (my little sister), and my dad. My mom didn't go. I call shotgun so I get to ride in the front seat. I braced myself for the long car ride ahead of me as I look at the map to see how long this trip is going to take. Almost 3 hours. Ugh. Most of the time I watch TikTok and listen to music in the car. I don't fall asleep, but that's fine. I don't usually fall asleep during car rides anyway. We don't stop at the hotel first, we go straight to the basketball court. When I walked in, I was overcome by the smell of sweetness. I look around and see this gigantic arcade/amusement park. There is rock climbing and this parkour thing that looked so fun, but we didn't get to go on it. I was sad, but it was still cool to look around. Nyla's team won the first game but lost the second. After the second game, we went to the hotel. It wasn't far from the court, but it wasn't very close. We stayed there for the night and in the morning, checked out before going to IHOP for breakfast. After breakfast, we went shopping. Shaddai got clothes and we all got books that I am really excited to read! A little bit later, we went to Nyla's game and they won both of them! Yay! After that, we went to Fuddruckers for lunch and went home. Once we got home, my dad didn't have the key and my mom wasn't home so we were locked out! Or so we thought. But Nyla had the key! So we went inside, put our stuff away, and just chilled for a little before starting homework. (I started this first then I did some of my homework and now I'm finishing this.)
